Mauchly was born August 30, 1907 in Ohio and died in 1980.
Eckert was born April 9, 1919 in Philadelphia.
Eckert was an instructor at the Moore School and actually taught Mauchly there.
Both undertook “Project PX,” which was the project to develop a large-scale electronic computer and eventually founded the Electronic Controls Company.
