  • Scientists credited with the invention of the ENIAC computer in 1946 as well as the creation of the UNIVAC and the EDVAC
  • Mauchly was born August 30, 1907 in Ohio and died in 1980.
  • Eckert was born April 9, 1919 in Philadelphia.
  • Eckert was an instructor at the Moore School and actually taught Mauchly there.
  • Both undertook “Project PX,” which was the project to develop a large-scale electronic computer and eventually founded the Electronic Controls Company.
